With huge indoor vertical grow farms opening everywhere, vertical is back at the forefront of growers thoughts and re-engineering old school ideas is the new frontier. ILUMINAR’s Vertical DE fixture is the newest ‘Old School’ tech idea there is, enabling growers to re-think the shape of their gardens with this DCP (Deep Canopy Penetration) capability. Taller plants with more branched canopies have very different lighting needs to shorter broader canopy plants; if light doesn’t break the initial canopy layers at the top – you stand to lose yields in your branched canopies below – this is where vertical ‘inter-canopy’ lighting steps in. 

We began with an old design we had prototyped in our basements but then added a twist. Literally. We wanted to take advantage of the more powerful double-ended configuration bulbs now available, but traditional connectors require two hands and are awkward and fragile, so we designed a new ‘roll-lock’ lamp connection system that requires only one hand to install a new lamp. The new EYE HORTILUX CMH 315 Grow Light System takes the next step for grow light systems. The short, compact reflector design maximizes light with 8% more light hitting the canopy and 30% more uniform light than the competition.

Powerful spectrums for specific stages of plant growth.

Growers using T5 lights can now provide a customized formula of light to meet the needs of plants in the vegetative stage as well as the flowering stage.  These formulas will outperform standard fluorescent lighting in growing speed, root growth, plant quality and yield due to the one of a kind spectral output of PowerVEG T5 grow lamps.

HOW TO USE POWERVEG T5.

PowerVEG T5 offers five different products that can be used in conjunction to create specific spectrums of light.  The base PowerVEG lamp you will use in all formulas is the FS+UV (Full Spectrum + Ultra Violet).  The FS+UV provides the spectral foundation when adding the other spectrums because it produces a consistent full spectrum of light as well as a safe level of UV, which is essential to to growing indoors.

Combining the two blue PowerVEG lights (420 & 460) with the FS+UV produces a powerful spectrum targeting early stages of plant growth.

Pairing the two red PowerVEG lights (633 & 660) with the FS+UV produces the best flowering spectrum of any fluorescent grow light available today.
