Growers using T5 lights can now provide a customized formula of light to meet the needs of plants in the vegetative stage as well as the flowering stage.  These formulas will outperform standard fluorescent lighting in growing speed, root growth, plant quality and yield due to the one of a kind spectral output of PowerVEG T5 grow lamps.

HOW TO USE POWERVEG T5.

PowerVEG T5 offers five different products that can be used in conjunction to create specific spectrums of light.  The base PowerVEG lamp you will use in all formulas is the FS+UV (Full Spectrum + Ultra Violet).  The FS+UV provides the spectral foundation when adding the other spectrums because it produces a consistent full spectrum of light as well as a safe level of UV, which is essential to to growing indoors.

Combining the two blue PowerVEG lights (420 & 460) with the FS+UV produces a powerful spectrum targeting early stages of plant growth.

Pairing the two red PowerVEG lights (633 & 660) with the FS+UV produces the best flowering spectrum of any fluorescent grow light available today.

PowerVEG FS+UV Grow Light

The PowerVEG FS+UV (Full Spectrum plus Ultra Violet) is a fluorescent T5 grow lamp that provides your plants with a well-balanced spectrum and UV light. The PowerVEG FS+UV spectrum closely mimics natural sunlight, benefitting your plants by:

The FS+UV can be used in conjunction with standard T5’s in a 50/50 mix inside the fixture. Placing the lamps in every other socket within the fixture can maximize the intensity of standard T5 with the spectral quality and UV of the PowerVEG FS+UV.

The FS+UV is best utilized when combining it with the PowerVEG Colors (420,460, 633 & 660) to create customized spectral output for specific stages of plant growth.  See formulas below.

Recommend Light Cycles

• If running 24 hours ON with standard T5, reduce cycle to 19 hours when using 100% FS+UV grow lamps.
• When using a 50% FS+UV & 50% standard T5 light mix – NO CHANGE in light cycle necessary.
• When using one of our suggested formulas—NO CHANGE in light cycle is necessary
• When using an 18 hour ON cycle or less – NO CHANGE in light cycle necessary regardless of lamp mix.

Recommended Height Above Canopy:

The recommended height above the canopy of plants should be between 8”-16”. The optimal height is 12”.

Product emits UVA and UVB rays. Possible skin or eye irritation can result from exposures exceeding 30 minutes when working less than 8 inches from the lamp. Use appropriate skin and eye protection.

Double Ended (DE) HPS grow lamps are typically used by commercial growers with large spaces and high ceilings. DE HPS grow lights produce higher intensities of light due to the design, construction and internal pressures of the arc tube (light generating source). The physical design and shape of the DE grow bulb provides a consistent positioning of the light source allowing reflector manufacturers to optimize the focus and footprint of light over the plant canopy.

Fade is a nitrogen-free finishing flush that provides your plants with the immobile nutrients they need (calcium and microelements) to ensure they don't starve during the critical ripening stage.

Excess nitrogen is known to delay flower maturation and it's important to taper or even remove nitrogen at the end of the flowering cycle to encourage crop maturation and enhance flower quality.

After extensive testing, we've found that running Fade with Pro Bloom during the last 3 weeks of flower increased total cannabinoid and terpene production without increasing the risk of deficiencies and bud rot.

Application Rates
Add 10-16 mL of Fade per gallon of water during the final 3 weeks of the flowering phase.
